Old tired place

Great location. Stop there. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. It still has 1990’s Marriott vibe. Rooms are dark and overcrowded with large and useless furniture. Executive lounge setup is cramped and you have to walk over to restaurant to get breakfast then bring it back with you. Food just okay. Lady in exec lounge was awesome but the rest of the staff were just “there”.

Our 11th floor room was clean, comfortable and had a great view. But the noise level coming from other rooms was troublesome. I expect a certain amount of noise to come from adjoining rooms, but we could very clearly hear the guests from both sides of us with an uncomfortable level of clarity. Overall though, we would definitely stay again.

Staff was extremely attentive and helpful. In hotel dining options were lacking, but the extensive variety of restaurants within a four-block radius made up for this. Pool and hot tub were pleasant and quiet. Even the under-housed camped out in the Holy Trinity church yard just outside the hotel were unobtrusive, although the small array of tents (~7) did distract from the view.

Our family of 5 recently stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is right beside the Eaton Centre and is in walkin distance to many other fun activities (e.g. Nathan Phillips Square). My only two negative comments are the pool and hot tub (small and dated) and the extremely high cost for food and drinks. There are plenty other options outside of the hotel that are most pocket friendly. All in all, we'd recommend this place.

Loved the staff and the room. Only one drawback which did not affect my overall stay too much was the lack of sufficient soundproofing. Not from room to room but i could hear quite succinctly whatever was going on the halls.

This might be the BEST hotel in $200 per night price range. Excellent in every hotel feature. Location is fantastic and staff is great.

The customer service is really bad the restaurant and bar staff very nice the hotel is surrounded by tents with homeless people doing drugs can be unsafe walking around at night
