Great location

The location was GREAT! Unfortunately the value for the money was not. The room we had was very small, really warm with no window opening or ability to turn on a fan or AC. We did not sleep well as the noise level from outside (5 floors high) was crazy, and you can hear your neighbours every word!

I had an incredible stay here. A highlight was that all of the staffs were extremely cute, friendly and kind. The location is perfect for public transportation since the Union Station is right around the corner. My room was a little bit small but was really cozy and comfy. Amenities were good too, I think they were recently renovated? Overall love it and would recommend to everyone I know and definitely will stay here next time I’m in Toronto 💖

New Inviting Hotel with Personality

The Union hotel has only been open a few weeks and we were happy to share in its debut. Great location downtown; walkable to harborfront, Second City and restaurants. The lobby is inviting and open feeling with several seating areas, a comfy fireplace, and cafe with varied food options reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and helpful. Although the 2 rooms we had were relatively small, they had well designed spaces with very comfortable beds and interesting art work. The bathroom was small; shower was good size, worked well and all was very clean.

The hotel was easy to find and only a block away from Union Station. There’s lots of seating in the lobby and a coffee shop. The room was compact, clean and the bed was comfortable. Given its downtown location, I think, the price was reasonable. The reason I didn’t give five stars was two negatives which I reported at checkout. (1) the door to the room was extremely difficult to open and (2) the fan on the heating unit was very loud—it sounded like a jet engine in that it reeved up to a high pitched noise. I would definitely go back there but would have the fan speed adjusted, if necessary.
