Check in is very slow. Staff not managing line ups to check in, resulting in confusion and prolong waiting at front desk. They should rope off unwanted line up zones so next in line is fair. Having to go at the end of a long line up after waiting in the line up that gets you nowhere really ruins the experience. The staff is good and hotel is great.

Fortunate and surprised with an early check in. Hotel is excellent inside but also conveniently located for what is available outside. It was for our Golden Wedding Anniversary and we were surprised with the Prosecco and chocolates left in our room by the hotel management.

The location is fantastic, right across from Union Station, and the staff were excellent throughout our stay. We also had a great time at the bars and restaurants in the hotel, which I’d definitely recommend for drinks. Unfortunately, the rooms were very dated and not well maintained, and the bathroom felt more like a roadside motel than a luxury hotel, with noticeable grime and wear. For the price, I’d suggest staying elsewhere and then stopping by the Fairmont for a drink or a meal instead.
