The Royal York has good proximity to attractions and easy access to subway, Via and GO transit systems. I grew up in Toronto and often stay here or at the Royal Sonesta in Yorkville when I come home a few times throughout the year. My only concern with this hotel is the noise. It’s an ongoing problem - in the halls and the other rooms is a real factor. This stay there were two weddings and another event. We were faced with a barking dog, screaming kids and partygoers for the two days we were onsite. The hotel was good about legitimately addressing my feedback the last two times I’ve stayed which is why I continue to stay there when the proximity aligns with my appointments.

What a beautiful stay! The rooms were large, quiet and clean, the beds comfortable, the shower pressure was good, and there is a Nespresso machine in the room. There’s a gorgeous indoor pool with a lounge area and clean fluffy towels. I was only in town for a quick business trip, but I’d love to go back again!

Booked it because it was a landmark hotel. Very disappointed and lost a lot of time during checkin and then got a room adjacent to the elevators that was very noisy...they accommodated with another room which also had elevator sound. Also disappointed that the restaurants do not have any vegetarian options for main course. That's not great for a hotel that's been around for nearly a 100 years.
