The AC wouldn’t go under 19 degrees, the staff said the AC wouldn’t go colder than that Barely any parking and if you find a spot there is a charge

This is a cute boutique hotel, however, we encountered one hitch after another. The rooms on the “first floor” are kind of below ground or at least below grade. The room we got had several problems: the thermostat was set by the hotel at an uncomfortable 21 Celsius and couldn’t be turned down further, the room door wouldn’t lock when we left the room. Because of the problem with the first room, we were moved to a nearby room. In this second room, the remote did not work and the same problem with the door shutting unless you leaned and yanked on the for handle at the same time. Although front desk had said they would make an exception and turn the thermostat down to 20 Celsius, we had yo go up to the main level and remind them. I guess rooms on other levels of the hotel are cooler and more functional? Location is amazing with lots of eateries, cute small town shops and patios within a block or two. Parking is limited near the hotel but can be found a 5 minute walk away.

Nice boutique hotel. Old building converted and renovated. Room is large and nicely appointed. A bit too modern given the age and history of the building. Didn’t give it 5 stars because it didn’t have an in-room safe, and the bathroom door was very squeaky. The staff were very nice and helpful but communications with the front desk were all by text. I guess I’m old school and still prefer to talk to people. We would definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Our day was nice. The hotel was beautiful. The food was extremely wonderful a bit pricey pillows were too far and fluffy. The air conditioner had to be controlled at the front. You didn’t get to pick your comfort. Had to call three times to make it cooler

Great stay, we were surprised there was no fridge in a room. They usually come standard is other hotels we’ve been to We also found there were lots of dust by the walls. Other than that, loved the lounge area and breakfast was a great value

The bed was very comfortable and great room amenities. I did get charged for taking their soap which I did not as it was missing and I was refunded for it. I rated it down as they do not have cable tv so you could not watch sports which was disappointing during playoff season. I went to a pub a few doors down but would have preferred to relax in the great room.

I did not like that they canceled my booking. they said the credit card expiry was wrong, but its all automated. I rebooked with no problems - same card, but at a higher rate. the staff was a bit dazled by simple request to make a moctail with a shot and one with out. friendlyness of some staff, not great, rest were great. hotel is very nice, local things very nice. i would stay again, but be more patient with hip staff.
