Very pleasant one night stay at Zen. Very quaint hotel with lots of spanish culture. On site restaurant was very good, room smallish but perfectly okay. Hany shuttle bus to airport or beach front.

Nice to be somewhat out of the city ..only comment is the always on, forever loud - Cover songs playing...how about going with the Buddha vibe in the statues and the name of the hotel ...ZEN

The room is fairly clean and comfortable. The airport and beach shuttle quite convenient and the restaruant service quite good. I also enjoyed the food and found it quite fresh, tasty and well portioned. The staff is professional and helpful as well. Totally recommend this stay.

There was a strong odor in the room that made our eyes and nose burn. Our lips were tingling as well. When we brought this to the receptionist’s attention, she assured us that an “ozone machine” that they have been using since COVID will solve the problem. Well, it did nothing and we then asked for a different room, to which we were told was not possible. We asked for the manager but was told there was no manager and was given a generic email address we could write to. We did send a email to that address, but heard nothing back and it has been more than 5-6 days since. Whatever the odor was, it was harmful and toxic and we could not stay in the room. In the end, we were able to find an alternative room in another hotel 2 min walk away from Hotel Zen and left. This was a very disappointing experience on our last night in Malaga.

Recommend for young couples - Shuttle Service iffy

Room had air conditioning, mini fridge, small seating area outside the room. We booked a double bed room, it was two single beds pushed together, and two single duvets. The beds were not secured down so during the night the beds would slide apart. The power in our room randomly cut too, but this issue was quickly resolved. Definitely a humble but respectful place to stay, would definitely come back. My only ‘complaint’ is the free shuttle service starts from 5:00am, and you must book the shuttle 24 hours before you request the service (unbeknownst to us prior to arrive at Malaga Airport). Due to the service start time, we had to book a £20 uber to the airport as we had an early flight home.

Very clean

We really liked the cleanliness of the hotel, the pool, and the shuttle service to the airport and the beach. It's ideal for spending a few days exploring Malaga and the surrounding area. The bed a little small for us but all good.
