I wished that the main photo of the Hotel was not Dogo Onsen, it seemed a little deceptive that they use it as their initial photo, The hotel did not look like this. The staff however were very nice and helpful. Room smelt a little funky but it was fine

Basic, small, inexpensive hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, good location. No onsite parking, no elevator, shared bathrooms and showers. Comfortable.

Onsen was perfect and the breakfast at the hotel was 5 star. All kinds of things to try!!

This is a ryokan. There is a private onsen in the room, a communal one on property and a public one close by. The property is beautiful. If you only do one ryokan on your trip, this is a good one.

Very nice ryokan near shopping, tourist spots, and next to Dogo Onsen.

The host was very welcoming and made everything very fun. He had mican and snacks and water for us. He didn't speak much English, but he had a detailed book about the place with pictures and explanations in English. The place was so Quaint and over 100 years old, but we'll maintained and clean with modern amenities. The futon and bedding were very comfortable. We loved the elaborate garden with fish to feed and the whole ryokan experiences. We were going to go to Matsuyama for shopping after checknin, but decided to stay at the ryokan instead to enjoy the experience.
