Beds are too hard and too small. I’m 6ft 1 and feet totally hanging off the end of the bed as if they’ve cut them down to fit in room. Was ignored when went to get breakfast at restaurant so walked out after 10pm a of waiting for someone to serve me. Nightmare to find. Have to park outside on street and you can find a park then walk down an alley to check in. Then they direct you to the lock up car park around the back. Very inconvenient after a long drive! Will avoid next time.

I had an amazing stay here! I’ve stayed in lots of gorgeous 5* hotels and this one is definitely up there. The staff couldn’t do more for you and the pool was always so quiet! Special shout out to Jasmin on reception who was so lovely and went above and beyond for anything asked of her. If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely be staying here! Thank you Belmoral :)

The room is clean and orderly, almost brand new. But there's NO LIFT. So it's difficult to climb up the stairs if you have a heavy luggage.

After completing a packaged tour around Far North Queensland, I chose to extend my holiday by travelling to Townsville. Having read about the redevelopment and changes, I looked forward to staying at Belmoral, and was pleased that it met and exceeded my expectations. Checkin was easy. Although I had downloaded the Salto KS app, all was required was a token that could easily be stored in my wallet when leaving the room. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room included a free breakfast offering at the cafe, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. The room itself was fitted with all modern and fresh facilities, with both forms of USB ports for device charging and remote controls for the fan, airconditioning and blinds. The cooking facilities were simple, but sufficient to make a home cooked meal. I hired a car and was able to use the gated parking for most of my stay, which was welcome especially as I was unwell and could not use the car for a day. The location is well placed at the end of Palmer Street, so got to take advantage of the hotels and cafes within walking distance, without a lot of noise or traffic. As mentioned on checkout, I said that of 6 different hotels in my long holiday, Belmoral was the pick of the bunch. Definitely recommend it!!
