Not very friendly welcome. Dinner not serve after 8.00pm. Beware of the little dog, I was bitten. I didn’t realised my company booked me 2 night in the hotel and on my check out after the first night, I was not reminded that I was booked an extra night. The hotel refused later on to reimburse.

Pleasant independent hotel.
This was a very pleasant hotel and different to staying in a chain establishment. The staff (owners?) were helpful. There is no lift but the woman on recrption insisted on carrying half our luggage up the stairs. The view from our window over the Mosel was lovely. The hotel is close to many places to visit on the Trarbach side of the river.

Basic and Average
This hotel is very dated and very basic. Is located right on the road which runs along the river which gets a lot of traffic so any rooms facing the front are noisy. Wifi worked. Parking was right out the front. Breakfast was simple but was ok. I would not stay here again. I recommend to only visit Traban Trarbach and stay in Bernkastel Keus which is much prettier and has more.
Great location, friendly staff, clean, secure, and internet worked fine. Very good breakfast. I stayed on the 2nd floor, room facing side street. Lots of noise all night long from the street below. Maybe if the windows were closed it would have been better, but in summer months need the air.

Was ok
Nice staff! Biggest drawback was no elevator and having to carry heavy luggage up stairs.
The hotel is well located in downtown with convenient parking. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, including packing a lunch for us when we departed in the early morning, before they began serving breakfast.
Great little hotel overlooking the Mosel river which had been recently modernised to a very high standard. Rooms were warm and comfortable, breakfast selection was terrific and made even better with the offer of freshly prepared eggs. For dog lovers, you will be warmly welcomed by Max, the friendly long haired dachshund. It was too cold to venture out on to the patio which overlooks the river, but on a warm summer night, it would be a perfect place to end the day.
A small hotel with a charming atmosphere. The staff responded promptly to all requests. The only negative was the fact that we had a room over the street. Streets are very narrow in Germany and with the buildings across the street act as a funnel for street noise including loud conversations at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. The only alternative is to close all windows and that can be a problem if on warm nights.

Lovely village and a reasonable,
Lovely village and a reasonable, if fairly basic, hotel. Shame we didn't get to try the cooking.
Moseltor is on the Trarbach side of the Mosel across from the more congested Traban side. The hotel is small, clean and comfortable with a very good continental breakfast. Parking is a bit scarce, but the public lot with plenty of free space is only one block away. Moseltor provides good reasonably priced accommodations.
