Beautiful property. Enjoyed the views and walking along the water. The walls were thin and our neighbors were noisy. The blankets were also VERY thin!

Hotel well located, great area to walk our dog. The hotel is a bit dated, but it is super clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The breakfast was a great surprise, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, everything was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

Basically a motel 6 on the water. Giant iron burn on my carpet, very outdated furnishings, and not very clean. Definitely would not book here again.

We just love staying here with our dog. We’ve heard that it has been sold. We are worried that the new owners won’t realize how charming and quirky its 1960s style is and we’ll turn it into another expensive hermetically sealed motel like all the rest of the chains in town. Yes, it can use some updating but to turn it into something other than its unique retro vibe would be terrible, and we wouldn’t want to stay in some expensive bland chain-like motel. I also hope they treat the staff well, for we find their friendliness and professionalism to also be unusual. We travel through the town several times a year and sure hope that the Clover Island Inn stays as wonderful as it is now. On a business level, I think the new owners might be gambling a losing bet if they think that wealthier customers will want to stay so far away from the freeway, and be in a part of town that, while we find the location very charming, down to earth, and normal, snobbier customers might find the surrounding businesses and trailer parks undesirable settings. Keeping the Clover Island Inn affordable for most travellers and maintaining its 1960s charm will reap greater rewards than trying to force it to be just like the other motels while pricing the rooms out of reach for those of us who stay there on a regular basis while travelling.

24/7 business center advertised was a large part of why I booked the hotel. Printer was out of paper, front desk agent said they didn’t have any to refill the printer although they had just printed forms for me to sign upon check in using their front desk printer.

Best little getaway
What a quaint little jewel on this island. Yes the hotel was on the older side, and the facility was showing it's age and the fact that it was on the water. The room decor was outdated but it was undergoing a major renovation. The staff we are very helpful and friendly and made you feel welcome. You could just check in stow your bags and start to relax. There are two restaurants on the island way within walking distance. One was more upscale and the other was a brewery and pub. With some elevated pub fare. After you eat you can stroll around the island and take in the stunning river views and quiet atmosphere. During the day the hotel offered free bicycles to check out so you could do some more exploring.

We love staying here with our dog. It’s not fancy it’s not an hermetically sealed high-rise. It’s a little quirky, but we love it a lot. We heard that it’s been sold, and we hope they don’t change it! It’s 1960s charm is what makes it so wonderful.
