This is a old Motor Motel from the 50's, so no one above you and parking is right outside the room. Basic, clean and comfortable for those just passing through.

We just needed a hotel while traveling across country and it had a mid century vibe on the outside but had been updated with new carpet and hard floor in bathroom. It was the right price for our needs.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable, but it needs a new foundation or box spring. Every time I rolled over, I woke my husband. The desk in the room was large and comfortable, and I was able to get some work done. The room needs a second chair. My husband kept taking the desk chair for a place to sit when I needed it to work on my computer.

Live roaches in room. Mouse? hole in baseboard. I think the issue is that they had monthly renters and/or workers staying permanently in the room next door = food = roaches.

Room was complete filth. Microwave had to be cleaned before it could even be used. Light switches and electrical outlets were caked in dirt. These are clearly not hotels for travelers, rather semi-permanent residents. Lawn chairs, yard equipment, coolers out side of the doors in the walkway. Looks like transient housing. Looking at the rest of the town though, heavily boarded up, graphitti, abandoned buildings in demise, this may be one of the better motels.

First time booking there. Coming in off the highway going to the Inn, we passed many derelict buildings which made me uncomfortable. But I thought it is what it is. Long story short. Conditions improved as we got closer. Check-in was smooth. Staff helpful and pleasant. The room was fine for our needs. Great price point, clean. Good wifi for streaming. Got a good nights rest. Nice to have parking for offloading luggage at the door. If anything negative, they could pay closer attention to details re finer cleaning, ie baseboards etc… but, meh, not a deal breaker! Will stay again.

Dont stay here - they dont care.

Very disappointed in this hotel. One thing i used to love about hotels.com was they were able to help if you had an emergency, but some hotels are more concerned with getting your money no matter what. This hoitel - Budget Inn - is one of those hotels. We had a situation come up and my husband had to head home, and he couid not stay the night there. Insyead of working with us this hotel jusy said too bad, you lose your money wether you stay or not. For that reason only, we do not recommend this hitel now or ever. We will let all our friemds and family know not to stay at rhis hotel ever.

Bare minimum in the rooms.. No coffee machine, no hair dryer, NO PHONE, no Kleenex. This location will not be on my list of places to stay when I pass through Tucumcari again....
