A Diamond in the Rough

This is an extremely clean, basic hotel room Look at the price. The bed seemed brand new . The linens were clean. Tile floors made it even cleaner . Quiet. I felt safe. But, even better was Mike the owner and his friend Alf, who was visiting . There is a full bar on the premises. We sat there and had a couple of drinks and told tales back and forth . This will always be our nighttime destination on Interstate 40 in NM. Off the Interstate , but easy to find. Thank you for your hospitality.

Good place to stay while passing thru

The gentleman that check us in was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Price was fair. I loved the desert style. Mattress looked new. There was a mini fridge and a micro wave. I really liked the walk in shower. Plenty of hot water.

Since the derecognizing of Route 66, most of the places along it have gone into decline. This property is among them. While the clerk was friendly, the property is worn and has seen a better day. It is honestly a bit sad in that I am guessing this place was pretty great back in the heyday of Route 66.

Very clean! Neat little bar area with friendly locals The owner is also the bartender so you might find him there at checkin. Very friendly and accommodating. Furniture and fixtures are dated in room but was quiet and no road noise off old 66. Would definitely stay again.

its an inexpensive motel in Tucumcari NM. nothing fancy , but clean, Mike( nice guy ) front desk/ manager/bartender makes a mean Jack and Coke. very quaint- fun -old Route 66 motel. screaming deal!

I wouldn’t stay here again.

The owner was rude and told me that my dog should not be a service dog. He told me he didn’t care it was a service dog and was going to charge me extra for the dog. He lectured me for like 15 minutes about my dog not being a service dog and didn’t even give me the chance to defend my self on why he was a service dog.

Good place

It is a motel. For 70ish dollars. It was pretty decent. It was clean and comfortable. We had a pickup truck with stuff in the back, and we were told nothing happens here, and true to his word, nothing happened. It's a good place to sleep and shower.
