Honestly not a bad place to stay for the price!
The staff are pretty nice and have a truthful/human vibe to them. As for the hotel itself, I understand that this location has recently been bought/renovations have been underway. What they've done so far has been pretty decent. I have a feeling the place was in pretty poor shape before the renovation, so the progress they've made already has probably been more substantial than it may currently look. If they keep it up, I would imagine the quality/ratings will climb!
Would I stay there again? Yeah. Probably.
I'd say there's two things however that could be done to boost my own personal rating. One is practical, the other is probably a little more of a personal recommendation.
Firstly, the front sliding door...please get the interior one
serviced. It's not fun to get locked out and have to call the emergency after-hours service number. I understand funds may be rough, but a working door?...That *is* kinda important.
The second thing, is the overall vibe of the hotel. Right now? It's fairly clean and the in-room perks/features are nice, which is great and should absolutely take priority! However, the current feel of things is a bit clinical.
In other words, it feels more like an office building than it does a cozy stay. Perhaps when the essential renovations are complete, focus could shift towards making the atmosphere a little less sterile. But again, that's simply my opinion! At that price point, I can't complain much!
