This truly was a nightmare! In a 6 night stay we were in 4 different rooms. We were in the oceanfront room with a palapa roof. 1st and 2nd nights no A/C. New A/C unit was installed. While sleeping, the unit came off the wall crashing down, knocking down the fridge and breaking a table.It sounded like lightning had struck. Another night we had a storm. It was as if there was no roof. Water came in from every spot in the roof. I would like to emphasize that all staff was courteous and did everything management would allow them to. The problem here was the ownership just did not care. The rooms are kept in horrible condition with many repairs needed. Paco and staff did what they could with what they had to work with. Ownership's solution was to comp us 2 days in the future to return to this place. NO thanks. Please be warned if you stay here, you may be writing a review just like me. Tulum is a great place to visit, but believe me. Hotel BT Live Tulum is not.

The hotel is located next to good restaurants and clubs. It has a nice beach, however the rooms are very rustic... the electricity went out at night and there was none to call (reception is not open 24 hours) until next morning at 10am. The room was extremely hot...

There were few holes in a roof, so we got few water puddles on the floor. They cleaned our room only on 3rd day. There was no hot water in the first 2 days, finally when we got hot water, the pressure was so low that we had to wait at least 40 minutes to use either shower or toilet. Safe never worked. We reached out to the staff, but nobody ever addressed that. We couldn't wait to get back home and finally take a good hot shower.

The property was great and very accommodating. Unfortunately I was in Tulum during the hurricane. The hotel had contacted me and informed me they were out of WiFi. I was able to stay less than what I booked for but I was happy breakfast was included. I enjoyed the coffee and croissants that were complementary but everything else was separate.
