Good location. Had to report to the Owner /Mnger the following: Batteries missing in the bedroom TV remote No light bulb in the bedroom bedside light Kitchen cupboard doors were very loose No proper Wardrobe...had 2x clothes hangers only. We recommend a modernised general update & focus on maintenance ... the Owner/Mngr responded by telling me that she would follow up our report with the young cleaners. We again recommend that all reports shld be followed thru by the Mngr/Owners NOT the cleaners.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was spacious and quiet. Even though it did get cold at night, I was fine with their comfy blanket and electric mattress pad. Definitely recommend it!

It's a nice place for hiking/visiting Aoraki/Mount Cook national park. While it's about 45 minute drive from the park it's much less expensive than staying in the park. The Mountain Chalets Motel is well maintained and has a full kitchen.

Unique experience, we were generally happy with the night we spent there. Only downside was the sink tap in toilet, should install a mixer as it was hard to wash with 2 taps(hot/very cold).

A convenient stop for our visit to nearby Mt Dobsin. Clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed, hot shower and effective heatpump. The most important items for any stay and essential in -9 degree temperatures.

Rooms are very outdated. Heatpump does a great job but I do recommend leaving it on all night as it does get cold if you dont. Showers dont look great but arent actually too bad. Toilet seat was broken.

Shortage of handy electrical sockets.
The accommodation was very good for the price paid. My only criticism would be that there were no electrical sockets close to the positions of the mirrors provided so that I could see myself dry my hair.

We love the place. Although the room is budget double room (smallest room type) but a room equipped with kitchen and clean. The location is not far away from many restaurant.

Stayed October 2023. Basic accommodation, basic facilities, everything looks tired and worn out in need of an update. TV seemed to still be analogue only picking up two channels, a bit odd. Staff were fine, provided extra blankets and hot plate, but might consider making that standard in the rooms. Twizel itself is not a great place, it's not even that near Mt. Cook, the only real attraction in the area, not an attractive town in itself with limited amenities and odd characters wandering round the streets making it seem unsafe.
