Good for the price.

This was a nice place to stay for the price. The bed was very comfortable. Floors in the bathroom could have been cleaned better. Some of the lampshades had stains on them. Almost like something splattered on them.

The breakfast menu consisted of the normal hot buffet items at best Western. Hard fried eggs, sausages, and I think there was a waffle maker. The air conditioner was pretty loud, but it did the job. This surrounding area was pretty loud with the neighbors. I was pretty taken a back by smelling smoke in the room, just to see that for some reason it said I had made the special request for smoking. I have never smoked nor do I appreciate the smell of smoke and I looked for a room specifically that did not say smoking however, my husband and I were so tired that we just went to sleep.

Roaches, bed bugs, stopped counting at 30 crickets. Cricket legs all over the room. Dirty floor. A spider, multiple beetles. Lifted cushion of the chair and baby roaches went into the cracks. Bed bugs in chair. Shook mattress and bugs fell out. Moved ottoman and baby roaches went under the air conditioner. Hair in the room. I took photos. In the room for less than 15 min. Didnt even take luggage in. We went back to get a refund and the girl claimed we checked in at 830pm. We did not. Checked in after 930pm. Back at front at 957. She never said she was sorry. Just said we couldnt get our money back for that night. They lied about our check in time. Filed a claim with best western. They said the owner went in the room and no evidence of bugs. Strange because i took pics.

This property is in a great area, Close to shopping and Dinning. The Hotel was clean, and the breakfast was good and hot. The grounds were very pretty also. I did have a little problem. I called a week or so before our stay and told them I would be paying in cash. Was told that was fine. But, on our way to the Hotel, I received notice from my Bank that the amount was withdrawn from my account. That put my account in the negative, which of course I wasn’t too happy about. When we arrived, I paid them in cash, like I said I would. They released my money but it will take a few days to get back to my account. Luckily, my Bank was great about working with me, and didn’t charge me an overdraft fee. In my opinion, the staff(or at least some of them) needs a little bit of training. Maybe how to put a note on someone’s reservation. All the staff that we met were nice and friendly.

My overall experience was good. I was charged a deposit, which I wasn’t told about at check-in, but later when I looked at my bank account. When I asked what the deposit was for, I was told that it was for the linens. Really? Like why would I want to take your linens? That should have been made known at check-in. It gives one the impression that they’re being shady and trying to hide additional charges.
