I had a very unpleasant experience We were upgraded to another location without prior notice because they overbook and the staff barely speak English. The map and address for suksma 1 were wrong and unclear so it was hard to find and no car can access. The location for Suksma 2 was not 10 mins like they claimed, it was at least 30mins without sidewalk. Also no wifi. Please book with caution.
Here is the detail for my
experience if you have time to read:
First, the map on the site is wrong, the actual location is about 0.5 mile further where no car can access. Also, the address listed didnt provide the actual number so it was extremely difficult to find especially in the pouring rain with luggage, it took us almost an hour to find the place. When we arrive to the location at 4:30pm, the two girls (one doesn't speak English)who worked there told us they don't have room for us and would like to upgrade us to their new location and the shuttle will arrive in 15 mins. We also asked about swimming pool and wifi that was listed under their amenities highlight, they said they don't have those. 45 mins passed and there are still no shuttle. I asked them if we can have any food since we were up at 6:00am and havnt eaten, they said they don't have food, so I asked where is the shuttle and they made a few phone calls and asked us to wait and they walked out. Meanwhile, two other hotel guests arrived and had the same problem as us finding the hotel and was very upset how far off the map was compare to the actual location. One girl came back after 20mins and said our shuttle is ready. The new guests tried to check in but she was shocked because she didn't know there are more booking. Then she got caught up trying to make phone calls (but no one picks up)and too occupied to take us to the location of the shuttle (somewhere down the hill) After another 10mins, I stopped her and asked to take us to the shuttle and she walked all of us down the hill. When we arrive to the new villa, we notice we are way far off from the ubud center in a very obscure location. The boy who works there took us to the back of the villa to a isolate room (which is quite nice) and I asked him if there any food in the villa and restaurants close by, he said no. So I asked him how to get to city center, he said walk. Then I asked him to show us the wifi, he couldn't find the connection. I felt like I was stranded in the middle of no where in heavy rain and couldn't go anywhere. So I requested to speak to the manager, he walked out and came back with a number, we couldn't call since there is no wifi but fortunately the shuttle driver who was waiting for the payment lend us a phone. We talked to the manager and she said she will come by. After 20 mins, the kids came back with the paperwork and said either we sign this or we leave and get a full refund. They will let us stay in this room for the night and move us again the day after. I was very upset and asked where is the manager and he said the manager is not coming so we had no choice but to sign the paper work. But he agree to let us stay in the same room when I request not to be moved again. At that point, I felt like the manager was trying to kick us out because they over booked and the two guests we met earlier still need a room. The whole process took us almost 4 hours and then we had to walk to find resturant without street light and in heavy rain. I checked their website and they said walking to ubud center is only 10 mins which is false because we walked there again during the day without the rain and it took at least 25 mins because there is no side walk to the way there. I had a very bad experience with this villa, not only the false advertisement and being relocate without prior notice, also the staff are young, inexperienced and barely speak English. Manager is not onsite and refused to show up. We only had two pieces of tiny soap to use in the bathroom. The location is way far from the city center.
P.s we bumped into the two guests we met and they said the villa booked another hotel for them because they were overbooked.
