Beautiful, quaint hotel with a beautiful garden area and lovely villa right on the back bay. Doorman (wish I had his name) is phenomenal! Room “upgrade” was interesting as we had small ship pieces of the old ceiling fall on us multiple times while sleeping and we terminated 5-6 mosquitoes over the 2 nights. Coffee and tea replenishment needs to be more consistent, we got decaf coffee only and no replacement of herbal tea or water.

I have been staying at this hotel for over twenty years but this last stay was the first time with the NH ownership and I can say that they have continued the tradition of this grand hotel. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful staff who are professional, friendly and attentive. We love the location as it is quiet and away from the maddening crowds of Venice yet is easily walkable to the main areas of the city.

The staff at the NH De Dogi were perfect. They were helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The hotel is beautiful but can use some updates. The carpets and rooms I would guess have not been renovated in some time. The rooms and grounds are spotless.

Fab hotel in great neighborhood
Very impressive hotel considering it is housed in a 16th century palace. Food was great (which is not always the case in Venice), service wonderful with a friendly staff and accommodations incredible. Loved how it was away from the madness of San Marco and situated in a more residential area.

The hotel was in an ideal location for our trip with a convenient vaparetto stop located around the corner. The room, staff and service we received were all excellent, though the bar area could have been better staffed. We could walk to all the neighbourhoods we wanted to visit, and also enjoyed exploring the quieter streets, canals and squares immediately around the hotel. A perfect spot for a couple, with easy access to all Venice has to offer.

Hotel is very nice, beautiful gardens but the rooms are a bit old not looking super clean. Staff was friendly but I expected a much better experience from a 4 star hotel. Location is good if you want to be completely away from the crowds, only negative is the time it takes taking the vaporetto to San Marks area. You are a short vaporetto trip to Murano and closer to the train station. We liked that it was pretty secluded and quiet.
