This hotel location is excellent and 2-3 min walk to St. Marks square. San Zaccaria, when you can get water buses and water taxis, is 5 min walk from this hotel. The only reason I rated it low is that during our stay the AC didn’t work appropriately and with small rooms, it was a bit uncomfortable stay. Otherwise, the hotel is clean, well behaved staff, decent breakfast and quiet rooms.

Wonderful hotel! Can’t say enough about how good this hotel is. It’s minutes away from St Marks square, near a small and beautiful canal. It’s also very close to the vaporetto station, we were did an easy 5 minute walk from the station to the hotel. The rooms are renovated, great beds, and a quiet area. Breakfast is great. Finally, the staff is extremely helpful and nice. I definitely recommend.

We are a family of 6, recently stayed at Hotel Casa Verardo, and HIGHLY recommend this hotel! The stay was amazing! The staff, room, air conditioning, AMAZING BREAKFAST and staff, and overall accommodations. It was also just a 5min walk from St. Mark’s Square, restaurants, and shops. This is the place to stay in Venice!

Very clean, quiet and beds were very comfortable. Short walk to all major attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Self service laundry around the corner. The hotel offers free round trip boat service to Murano. We enjoyed the glass blowing presentation there for free. A couple of minor drawbacks. There was a window in our shower which had a direct view to the neighbours. A frosted window would be ideal for privacy. Only two English channels available on the TV. Overall a great stay.

We recently stayed at Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca during our family trip to Venice, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we've ever had. I was traveling with my wife and teenage daughter, and from the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The location is perfect—quiet, yet just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient. The property itself is beautiful, full of charm and character, with lovely common areas and a peaceful terrace. But what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Whether it was helping with directions, offering recommendations, or even assisting with early breakfast arrangements, they were always ready with a smile and a solution. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality feels so genuine. Thank you to the entire team at Casa Verardo for making our Venice visit feel like home. We left with warm memories—and we hope to return one day!

All I can say is AMAZING! Our room was small but well appointed and had a beautiful patio with an excellent view of the clock tower. The hotel is close to everything but not too busy/noisy. The staff were lovely and helped us with everything we needed. I would 100% stay here again!

A hidden gem
