It was safe, quiet & convenient for walking to the tourist attractions. There was a good selection for the buffet breakfast. The receptionists were always helpful & the hotel was very clean.

This hotel is in a convenient location but that is all what is good about it. My room was of a decent size. But air conditioning was not working properly. At some times at night it would be switch off. My room had no any view- it was facing another building at a distance of one meter. The bedding was awful. Pillows were filled with some crappy stuff. Breakfast was served from 8 am. So I was able to use it only once in three days . Two other days I had to leave for my tours earlier. Usually, breakfasts are served from 7 am or even 6 . 30. They charged me 10 Euro per day for city tax. It should have been just 5. The receptionist was not always in. It felt insecure. The shower room had a high step - I was always afraid to fall . The shower was so narrow! I could hardly squeeze in between the doors. Will not comeback to this hotel.

This hotel was fantastic! The free breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful. The only negatives here are the really weak showers that do not get very hot at all and also the fact that there is no lift so bringing suitcases is very difficult.

I loved staying here! It has the old Venice flavor, which enhanced my stay. It is centrally located, so many of the main attractions are within a short walk. The staff is extremely helpful, and they do a very nice breakfast buffet every morning. A little tricky to find at first, but it was worth it!

I gave 4 stars on condition because it’s Venice, and all the buildings are expectedly old and have their quirks. I have been to Venice hundreds of times, though, and never stayed in a hotel that was impressively nicer than Centauro. The staff are absolutely wonderful, attentive, and kind. The 24-hr desk is also convenient if you stay out too late, which I definitely did. Nice breakfast, and it’s also nice to see that both Google and Apple Maps are actually starting to work well in Venice! It would not be easy to find without them, but few things are in Venice. Lots of really great restaurants nearby, and the typical narrow shopping alleys. Located about halfway between St. Mark’s and Rialto; it’s quite a trek from Santa Lucia, about 30 minutes walk, so I would recommend taking the Vaporetto maybe to Rialto if you’re averse to porting your belongings. I walked both to and from the train station, but I despised myself for doing that twice. Highly recommend this place.
A double room. There’s a double bed and a single bed you can’t see here. A big sofa, private bathroom, and a small television.
Could be easy to miss without help (thanks Apple Maps!)
