the building is beautiful and i loved the outdoor garden. so convenient that the water ferry stops just outside the hotel Enrique (front desk) was incredible. his recommendations were perfect. i would stay there again.

The hotel, located in Campo S. Sophia on the grand canal was a 15 minute walk to the train station to the North or 15 minute walk South to Saint Mark’s square. There is a water bus stop located just outside the front door of the hotel as well as water access for water taxies. The room was clean and quiet. We had a slight view of the grand canal from our bathroom. The ceiling was at least 16 feet tall and the decor is what was described as Venetian. There is a nice garden with a sitting area and a view of the grand canal out front of the main entrance to the hotel. The hotel is a nice quiet spot just 200 feet down an ally from the main street. The hotel staff were polite. The continental breakfast had a small variety of items and was perfect to fuel up your morning start your say in Venice !

I had no issues with the location, staff, and service. The room however was attic space converted into a room, with numerous issues, like it was hot in the room and the airconditioning was largely useless, some closet doors wouldn’t close, no lift to the your floor forcing you to carry your luggage up a winding staircase. Fortunately for us it was comfortable outside, and we could open the windows. However the bottom line is I won’t be coming back here. :( Of course this is only one room, and one experience, so you have to factor in cost versus all the other factors.
