A Truly Five-Star Hospitality Experience in Venice Our stay at Residenza degli Angeli was unforgettable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Mario and Esmeralda. From the moment we booked, they were in touch and genuinely invested in making our trip special. When we arrived, both Mario and his wife warmly welcomed us into their beautiful home—something you simply don’t get at a standard hotel. If you’re looking for a five-star experience, this is it. Not in the sense of luxury chains like the Four Seasons, but in the kind that really matters: care, warmth, attention to detail, and local insight. Each morning, Mario served us delicious croissants of our choice with perfectly made espresso. And to top it all off, he personally walked us and our luggage to the water taxi when we checked out—above and beyond in every way. As first-timers in Venice, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the city. Mario made sure our experience was not only smooth but also special. I recommend Residenza degli Angeli to everyone. Mario and Esmeralda are simply the best!

Very strange B&B, property is small and the AC doesn’t work. We constantly has mosquitos in the house and in the room. The breakfast is very awkward because the owner is sitting there with you and talking to us non stop. There’s no sense or privacy at this property. Additionally the fan in the room was broken and taped together and it ended up cutting my finger very badly. Overall I would not recommend this place and I would warn others about it. Horrible experience.

The location is great. Mario is very welcoming and provides clear and easy instructions on how to get to the property and around. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to walk to main places. He recommended great restaurants and different options to get to the airport. The property is well maintained and clean. Breakfast is fresh and served personally by Mario. We enjoyed a lot our stay.

The location is great. It's in a pretty quiet neighborhood, but still only a 5 minute walk to the nearest vaporetto station and about 10 minutes to the Rialto Bridge. We ate at a couple of very good restaurants in the neighborhood that were recommended by Mario. He was very helpful in making suggestions on things to do, places to eat, and gave directions on how to get there. The only minor issue we had is that our room was very small.

Mario and Esmerelda were very inviting and hospitable. They own and operate the hotel, which to some extent, makes it feel like they're hosting you in a B&B setting. They provide amazing dining recommendations and directions to iconic locations upon check-in. The room was spacious with its own AC and the breakfast was great. I would definitely come back again.

What a gem ! Highly recommend a stay here. From booking to arrival, the owner kept in touch to help us reach our destination offering guidance on how to get to the building and the options regarding the types of transport available from the airport. It is situated in the centre with historical sites and restaurant nearby . We understood the hotel to have been built in the 15th Century! On arrival we were greeted warmly by the owner, shown to our room which was as described. Offered written and verbal information about the surrounding area inclusive of recommendations and suggestions. Fresh continental breakfast was served from 0830 to 1000 with a choice of which flavoured croissant and yoghurt. Throughout our stay, we felt confident, safe and supported by the owners who are local, knowledgeable about the area, and history of Venice. We truly felt a part of their extended family - thank you Mario and Esmeralda

This was a great find. The hotel is close to everything and easy to get to from the train. The owners provided us with a walking tour they developed and really good restaurant suggestions. It was a nice surprise and really made the trip special.

Mario and Esmeralda are great hosts. My wife and I stayed in a quadruple room with our two children. The room was very clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. We would definitely recommend it to others, and we will look to stay here again the next time we are in Venice.
