We loved it! Such a CUTE place with nice people and amazing location with a great nearby pedestrian mall, walkable to the beach, it was terrific. Breakfast area is so nice! It’s Ventura, which has wildfires now, so I really hope they are OK and safe and that they are able to restore soon. Sending wishes for safety and healing.

Unkept parking lot, non- working televisions, limited power outlets, non-working hair dryer, bees in atrium where breakfast was served, old heating system was loud, etc. Not worth the cost of the stay and when issues were brought to the front desk’s attention, no adjustments were made. Power outage during the night and no notifications were made to guests informing them of the issues.

It was very nice and CLOSE to everything! Had the historic vibe. A lot was closed for a Monday/Tuesday. Post holidays, but still a good choice.

Centered in the heart of Downtown Ventura, the Clocktower Inn is a very short & easy walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. Staff is courteous & helpful & the hotel fees are very reasonable for its location.

We love the Clocktower Inn and stay there fairly regularly. We love the access to downtown Mainstreet and we go for the Downtown 10 movie theater often when we’re here. It’s an older property with limited amenities, so nothing fancy at all, bite comfy. We like the second floor esp. Room 222 overlooking the park when we can get it. Unfortunately, when booking on Expedia, we don’t get the room shown in the ad. Don’t know why. I’ve even called the hotel and tried to request our favorite room for a specific date and was told they could book a specific room. Oh well. Anyway, we’re happy campers.

We loved this place! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is very inviting, there was even a fire burning in the fireplace! ❤️ We had a ground floor room with a little patio, which was nice. The bed was comfortable, and a king, which was nice. The hot tub is amazing! Super powerful jets, great back massage. Breakfast on the weekend had delicious sausages, very tasty country potatoes, and some fake looking scrambled eggs, (I skipped those,) as well as the regular weekday continental breakfast fare they offer. There was also a waffle maker, even on weekdays 😋 There were 2 minor disappointments with the room- we didn't get all our coffee supplies replenished daily (like cups, creamer and sugar,); and the bed is layers of flat sheets with one blanket between and it does not stay together. The bottom sheet doesn't even fully tuck in around it. It's a little annoying. Nothing that would keep us from returning, though. The location is great! It's easy walking distance to a bunch of fun shops and restaurants. It's also next to a lovely park, so be prepared for the fun and colorful crowds that parks attract. We will definitely be coming back!!
