The service was good. Only complaints is that it does not have an elevator if you have lots of luggage and the room including the bathroom is very small.

Sweet, Compact and close to everything!
Close to the train station and the Main Street of Vernazza. Our hosts were exceptional as they organized their time to carry our luggage back and forth to the train. The elevator at the station is out and the many deep stone steps made this all the more helpful. The room is tiny, as is the bathroom. Hooks to hang things would be helpful. The bed is futon style near the floor. Breakfast was filling and lovely— lots of pastry.

My friend and I loved our stay at Pensione Sorriso. The staff are friendly and helpful, our room and bathroom were clean, and we were happy with the in-room AC unit which worked very well. The breakfast buffet in the morning was one of our favorite perks, the food and cappuccinos were delicious and the outdoor dining area is very peaceful. The location is unbeatable, a quick walk up the hill from the Vernazza train stop. It was a perfect home base for exploring Cinque Terre, we were able to visit all 5 towns during our 2.5 days and Vernazza ended up being one of our favorites.

Evelyn at the reception wear many hats and is just amazing....thank you for all of your hospitality and service! Just to be fair this property is right next to train it was fine for us but if your a light sleeper just beware.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pensione Sorriso. The hotel is clean and modern for Italian standards. The bedroom and bathroom are pretty small but we managed just fine. The staff were great. Our reservation included breakfast which had several options to choose from. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there are lots of stairs to climb just to access the lobby from the street. This was not a problem for us, but if you have any type of mobility issues it may be extremely difficult to access the lobby and your room. On the plus side, the location is just steps away from the train station.

Nice little room for one night in Vernazza. Comfy bed and great shower pressure! It was very tight in the room but for 1 night it worked out fine! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location!

The service and friendliness of the staff was amazing! Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The setting was beautiful and the location could not have been better as it was only a minute’s walk from the train. We will be back!

Lovely small hotel in Vernazza
Lovely hotel in Vernazza close to the railroad station and only minutes away from the main business area with lots of restaurants and bars. Our double bed room was tight but it had a private bathroom and a view up the hills above the town. Breakfasts were included and provided a good variety of continental foods. Evelyn, the manager, was very friendly and personal and everyone else on the staff whom we encountered was great. Everyone spoke English, too.

The owner of the hotel and the restaurant below is by far one of the kindest, most attentive people I have ever met! TREMENDOUS THANK YOU TO HER!! The hotel itself is AMAZING!! Beautiful and PERFECT location, and the breakfast in the morning was incredible. I absolutely loved the terrace here too!! I couldn’t have asked for a better place in Vernazza!

Sorriso in Vernazza
Highly recommend Pensione Sorriso for a stay in Vernazza. Evelyn was a wonderful host and went beyond expectations in helping us enjoy our stay. The hotel has a bright breakfast area/lobby and a nice patio/garden to enjoy. We stayed in a room with a private bath and balcony. Although no sea view from the rooms, there is one from the patio and the sea is only a two or three minute walk from the hotel.

Great Inn
Pensione Sorriso was a great place to stay. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. The room was a bit small for 2 people, but otherwise clean and cozy. Just a short walk to the train station.

Pensione Sorriso - fantastico!
Pensione Sorriso is a true gem. The all-women staff are incredible: patient, helpful, multi-lingual, always assisting guests, and they carry out everything with such grace. It is a clean, comfortable, welcoming small hotel, with a lovely breakfast. Many come to Cinque Terre, rent a tiny room, and endure crowds; this pensione has a patio and private rooftop terrace where you can relax with a beer in peace, enjoy the incredible views, and smile.
