No real view

My husband and I travelled to Ft Pierce to attend an event on Saturday and enjoy the beach Sunday. We booked an oceanfront room that ended up overlooking several parking lots and a busy road with barely a glimpse of water. There was a path to the beach but you still had to cross the road. The beach was great. The hotel was older and could have used sprucing up. The room was clean. Bed was mushy soft. The pool wasn’t clean enough to swim in but it is February and weather was in low 80’s. Location is convenient, staff were pleasant. Furniture was dated and old. Drapes not the cleanest. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The place was an older hotel but they have modernized it cosmetically. It was convenient to the beach and restaurants (5-10 minute walk). The only downside was our entry door did not fit the frame ( 1/4 inch gap all around). It was also hard to open, the cleaning lady had to show us the trick to use it. It was broken at the bottom and seemed like it had been kicked in several times. It definitely needs repaired or replaced soon. All in all it was the least pricy for being as close to the beach as we were.

The rooms haven't been updated since the 70's. Floors cant be cleaned no matter how the mop them, baseboards have 49 yrs of crud. AC did not work very well. We paid for ocean view, but were pla ced on 2nd fl. Can't see the ocean from that floor.However with that being said. Staff was so friendly and easy to work with. Beds were clean and very comfortable.
