We have stayed here always when we travel to Victor Harbour
So convenient to everything
Excellent staff and dining options
Food was excellent thank you
The ladies at the front reception were extremely nice and very helpful in terms of what to do around town. Highly recommend the stay especially in the Parkview rooms.
Initial room was very small and looked out across the pub roof,ie nothing like the images in the online booking which was disappointing (was the image CGI?) so went to reception and paid extra to upgrade to room 1 which had water and park views, but no balcony unfortunately which would have been nice.
The staff at reception were happy to help , a good positive. Pub meals were OK, location was good.
Very clean. Tiny shower and toilet area but large king bed and room size was good. I checked in after hours at 10.30pm and had let them know that. Everything went smoothly and it was lovely to stay here. Free coffee in the morning at their bistro was very delicious too.
Great reception staff Christine especially we have had many visits to the Victor she has always been so friendly and makes your stay so pleasurable. Great bar staff great meals and just the right place to stay.
Bit of a hit a miss. The hotel service was fine. Just the dining service was a bit off. The food was just ok. Do not recommend the steaks in the bistro. There is an option for room service (whose responsibility to fulfill these orders is unknown) but we ordered breakfast one morning and this one was delivered in a timely fashion. Partner wanted to order late night snacks (not cooked, just packet potato chips) and was waiting over an hour before himself walking downstairs to the bar to be informed the items on the menu were not in stock. Who knows how long we would have waited should he not have gone down. Also no phone in the room to call reception or restaurant etc.
Location is excellent and appearance and cleanliness also great. Bed is super soft and comfortable. Would like extra pillows stored in room somewhere as again there is no phone to call house keeping.
Noisy guest room doors of people coming and going early in the morning if that bothers you.
Great hotel, with popular dining and bar just downstairs. Nice walking path along the bay adjacent. There are other restaurants and shops right around the corner. A very nicely renovated historic property in a central location. Staff were quite helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.
The hotel has been renovated and has a nice beachy feel to it our bedroom was large, airy and the king bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very well cooked as it was all cooked to order, if you requested crispy bacon, thats what was delivered to your table. The hotel is on the beachfront, with great walks along the beach and over to Granite Island.
Really like this hotel inn Victor Harbour. Friendly service..
relocated to another (excellent) room when queried an unusual smell..(from cleaners' product).
Can recommend to other travellers
Our stay at Victor Hotel was good the food in the bistro was very nice and you could walk around the area also but during our stay there the fire alarm went off three times at 2.30am &3.30 on a Saturday and Sunday morning we had to stand outside and was told by the firefighters it’s a false alarm no staff member new of what happened when we asked them on the Sunday morning the firefighters couldn’t even get in touch with anyone from the hotel when it went off again we didn’t even get a message of any sort or even an explanation to say it was a faulty system.
