The pool was awesome! It was clean and clear. The employees were all so kind and polite. I love that they have snacks and food in the office for the guest. The rooms feel homey. They always ßmell so good and you can tell that they have been cleaned. Anytime I stay in Port Lavaca I choose the Royal Inn.

This is the second time we've stayed at Royal Inn. They are one of the very few motels that still has smoking rooms, which is a plus for us (tobacco only, btw). The room rate through Travelocity was *very* affordable. Our room was clean and smelled nice, and the air conditioner worked well to keep the Texas heat and humidity *outside*. We only stayed overnight this time, and check-in and check-out was a breeze. The attached restaurant, Taqueria Mazatlan, serves authentic Mexican food that's delicious and affordable. And the staff is friendly and provided excellent customer service. We will book a room at Royal Inn again when we visit Port Lavaca.

no place to sit in the breakfast area and very limited. Food in the breakfast area was old. Property was outdated. Towels were limited. Floors were still wet. we got it because it was the only one that was three star in the area, but it was not deserving of a three star.
