The staff was friendly and nice enough. The room appeared clean. But the smoke smell was unbearable. Everything we had in the room no smells like we were chain smoking cigarettes in a box with no windows or vents. So gross. It triggered my asthma during the night. Woke up with hives etc. When a hotel says “non smoking room,” the room should be completely cleaned of nicotine and smoke. Carpets, curtains, beds, covers etc should all be deep cleaned. This hotel does not steam the rugs and it shows. There are also cats everywhere. My cat had muddy paw prints all over it. The cats sleep in the pool area. Only one positive is they do have an exterior power outlet near the pool for charging. But they don’t know it’s there… It’s a secret.

You get what you pay for but not what you reserved
I reserved a non smoking room got a smoking room "because that's all that have left, it's that OK?" what choice do I have at this point? my husband has asthma it will probably be a week before he can breathe normal again. There was stuff on the was, ceiling, I'm sure also the floor. Would not recommend. I guess for $55 at least expected to get what I reserved.

Très déçu de ce Motel. Aucun rapport entre annonce, photo et réalité. Tout est vieux, cassé, manquant et sale. Juste 2 petits gateaux emballés dans du plastique en guise de petit déjeuner. Une clim hyper bruyante bref, jai annulé mon retour dans cet hôtel pour dans 6 jours

Overall, great experience for being stuck
We were stuck due to both freeways home were closed. For safely, i trybto stay at a hotel, but all in town were sold out. This place was rated pretty high, so we took the room available. Front desk was amazing. Not sure if we met the owner or manager, but he was amazing too. The bed had an adorable elephant shaped towel, which my daughter loved. We enjoyed sitting by the pool after the sun went down. There was a refrigerator was good. There was a microwave, but we didnt use it. We watched some TV, i wouldve preferred a larger screen, but it was sufficient. The beds were comfy with fluffy pillows. Ourr oom had been recently remodeled with new vinyl flooring and fresh paint. The vanity mirror was new and lit up. Overall, great experience for being stuck.in Barstow.
