Quick 15 minute walk away from the huddle and bussle of the centre of Vienna Hotel was quite clean , the room was extraordinarily large with a bath tub . Easy access from the airport Overall happy with the hotel

We were staying at a “luxury hotel” with a 9.8 rating on Expedia. When we checked in, the system for producing room keys was down and we weren’t able to get room keys until the next morning. Each time we went to our room, we had to get escorted there by a staffer to let us back in. The first time this happened, they did nothing to verify first it was our room and I gave them Hell for that - I’m convinced I could have said any room number and they’d have happily let us in. When my travel mate got in her bed on the first night, something pointy was stuck in her back which she later learned on investigation was a toenail clipping from a previous guest. We told them this and they said they’d have housekeeping come and do a thorough cleaning of the room, change the sheets, etc. They didn’t because the sheets were the same wrinkly ones. They said three times they were going to leave a gift in the room (presumably a bottle of wine) and never did and just before supper I went Karen on the front desk person and said this place is run at the standard of a roadside motel. They comped us a voucher for any two drinks in the bar. When we went to use it for cocktails, we learned it was only good for a small beer or their lousy house wine. They’ve also comped us two free breakfasts, which was similarly marginal. Not impressed. A big disappointment. Don’t stay here.

Great quality, value hotel, ideal sightseeing base

Great hotel. Front of house staff excellent. Great location near Belvedere and 1 minute walk from underground station, #7 circular tram stops outside. Perfect. One niggle was the cleaner. Asked for tea and coffee only, no need to clean, got towels. Next day during clean they removed the wine glasses which were part of the room's bar equipment.
