My wife and I spent a week at Mooons exploring the city staying in a Quartier Belvedere room.
The hotel is quite new and is in excellent condition, our room was small but well designed - we found the space worked well - particularly the compact bathroom which had an excellent shower, and the wardrobe unit also provided a good amount of storage space. The view from the room across the adjacent buildings’ rooftops was interesting and pleasant - despite this class of room being the cheapest because of its outlook. The only thing we disliked about the room was the two mugs provided for making tea and coffee - which did not have handles - we found these got exceptionally hot when water from the kettle was poured into them and to make things worse they were slippery and difficult to hold without a handle - particularly when so hot.
We found all the staff we encountered at the hotel were polite and helpful, and spoke excellent English. The buffet breakfast provided for a charge by the hotel is quite restricted, but adequate - although vegetarian only. The hotel’s location is excellent being a few minutes walk from the main Wein Hauptbahnhof railway station with full access to the underground and tram systems for travel around the city.
Overall, we felt this was an excellent mid range hotel to use as a base for exploring the city.
