Overall, I didn’t have a bad experience but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room I was given was tiny and had a tiny bathroom. It seemed like a room they recently renovated from an older hotel in front of it, which is connected via a short tunnel. The breakfast was okay - the bacon was soggy and the eggs were not great. Other than that, everyone there was lovely and very nice.

First, the positives…the staff was very professional and the breakfast was excellent. The negatives…the room was tiny, there was no place to leave an open suitcase. The bathroom was tiny. The sink was diagonal to the shower so that you couldn’t stand directly at the sink. The shower was teeny tiny so that a larger person like myself had no room to move. The front parking lot had so much wasted space for tour buses, leaving only about 10 spaces for cars. Everyone else had to park across the road in a crowded parking lot. At over $350 USD per night, this was not a good value. I would chose ANY other lodging over this hotel next time.

Out of the five hotels I stayed in during my time in Iceland, this was by far the best. I loved the overall mood and atmosphere, especially the beautiful lighting in the lobby. The food was absolutely incredible, and the rooms were comfortable and well-designed. A truly pleasant experience from start to finish.
