Safe neighbourhood for walking
The host/hostess were very friendly and helpful. They showed us how to get to the old town safely by foot and very specific instructions as to how to get local transportation back. They had a wonderful breakfast in the morning

What a great place, with amazing views of Valparaiso. The hosts Nina & Luca were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, recommend the pancakes. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful View!
Costa Azul is a wonderful place to stay in Valparaiso. It is a great price, clean and comfortable and the view is the best in the city. Sit at your window wall in the evening and watch the city lights come on! The morning hours are even better if you arise before dawn and watch the sun come up.

Top of the Hill Experience
This place was amazing! Having never stayed at a hostel before our expectations were unknown (we can get pretty picky). This place sets the bar. We received a warm welcome and first impressions were positive. our room was full of amazing views of the bay and full of city skyline. They were clean and spacious with a panoramic window and private bath. With our 7 month old they were gracious in accommodating. They took to our child like their own increasing the family feel. Prior positive hotel.com reviews of the food did not do justice. The quality/quantity were so amazing we ended up saving money because we rarely needed lunch by finishing the whole breakfast! They provided amazing recommendations for all must sees in the city. The information provided felt as though they were traveling with us, they clearly did the research so we didn't have to. They were realistic about safety & even advised where NOT to go. The neighborhood was authentic to current Chilean atmosphere. There was a little hill walking, but fair price to pay for using so much public transportation. The hostel is full of frequent international travelers and it added to the community feel and adventure. The host as well as other travelers started out as acquaintances, but left as friends. Due to the positive impact on our family and experience this is a place I will definitely come back to. They also have a Facebook page with additional reviews and photos!

Great B&B at a great price with breath taking view
I stayed for 2 nights post a cruise. The view from the room was breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious. The service was outstanding. Will most definitely stay there again on a future trip.

The people running the hotel were lovely and the breakfast was great. However, the hotel is very far from town and it was really confusing getting to the center and back. I was told I could walk but as I was walking, several people approached me to tell me I was not in a safe area and would likely be robbed. I believe there is a safer route so be sure to ask if you plan on walking.

Wonderful b&b. Kind helpful hosts who obviously love their work and the people they host. Just know that when you visit Valparaiso, you will hear barking dogs 24/7, regardless of where you stay. But if you do stay, this b&b won't disappoint.

Magnificent view
Lovely hotel run by Luka and Nina. Great hosts. View from hotel of Valporaiso is fantastic. The breakfasts are great. Only drawback was that there was no shower for three days. But this was because the entire hill was out of water. Each day Luka lugged 5 litre bottles to all the guest from a water tank up the road.

Amazing views!
My stay at Costa Azul was unforgettable. I was traveling alone and the owners really made sure my needs were met. They gave me a long list of things to do in the area and explained the routes to get there. They are located at the top of the hill which provides for breathtaking views in the day and at night. I will be back to stay there again.

a fabulous surprise
The only reason I chose Costa Azul was because I had a rental car and parking was included. It was an interesting drive to get to the Costa Azul because I was driving a stick for the first time in several years and there were many hills and crazy bus drivers. Once I found it and I was shown to my room it took my breath away. There was an amazing view of all of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. The room was very comfortable and the hosts were very attentive and friendly. They provided a welcome glass of wine and much information and shared travel stories. The hosts personally prepared a delicious hot breakfast. Over the short course of my stay the view changed to glittering lights of the city, the beautiful colors of the pre-sunrise and then the sunrise, all without having to leave my bed. The only thing that exceeded the view was the hospitality of the hosts who obviously took great pride in the service they provided. One of the best lodging experiences I have had in 40 years of travel over seven continents!!

I went to costa azul with my boyfriend and it was just amazing; when we got there we had a kind welcome; the couple who own the place were very friendly and they looked after us very well. The room was very clean and tidy; it also has an amazing view of whole Valparaiso. Highly recommended

Absolutely amazing the view from your room is amazing of the whole of Valaporsia. The hosts Luca and Nina are the top nothing is too much and exceptional chefs for breakfast . It is so easy to catch the local bus outside door that goes to centre of town in 10 minutes. It is a must place to stay.
