It was very peaceful and the people who checked me in was very polite and understanding as i came in really late and tried to extend my stay but had to make a new reservation so they let us stay in the same room and didnt make us check out and check back in

Great little motel

Super clean and quiet motel. There was a convention in town and motel was full 2 of the nights we were there.... we heard almost no sounds. Would absolutely choose to stay here again next time we visit.

This is the third time I've got the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place. Super friendly owners who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is incredible. I accidentally locked myself out of my room close to midnight after the office was closed and I had to contact them to get a second key and not only were they understanding they were so kind I couldn't believe it. Anytime I stay up on the range that is my go-to place so if you're on the fence stay here I guarantee you will love it

No way the main office should ever close one because the ice machine is in there and if something happens to the apartment TV doesn’t work you need to get the Wi-Fi passcode or something like that. That’s the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in many that’s never been open 24 hours. It might’ve been full and thinking. That is OK to go home early because every room was filled up but people need things things happen and when there’s nobody there to call or anything like that otherwise everything else was good.

Great for the price. Very clean and in good condition. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We were there in mid to late February so it was very cold outside but very hot inside so needed to open a window. Would definitely stay again especially when it’s warmer and we could’ve enjoyed the lakes that are a stones throw away

It was a cozy room perfect for my wife and I for our snowboarding trip to Giant’s Ridge. Nothing fancy, just a room with the basic needs met. We got a nice goodie basket when we arrived, which made us feel welcome!

It is a simple old-fashioned motel, but the room was good. The staff person was very friendly and helpful, and accommodating when we realized I had accidentally booked twice (once via Expedia and once many months ago by phone, which I had forgotten). For whatever reason, hotel prices are quite high in Virginia, so Lakeshor is a pleasant respite from those inflated prices.

Amazing stay for our weekend. Had a wonderful time in Virginia,MN. We snow shoed in Giants Ridge recreational area. No problems with our stay.

This is our second time staying here and really appreciate everything about the hotel. This time we had the apartment suite, which was convenient for us after a long day of ski races in Biwabik. It was nice to be able to make some food there that evening and just relax.
