We really liked our room, it was modern, clean & the communal kitchen & complimentary bottled water was a plus. The beds were comfy and the room was well equipped for our toddler and baby, with a baby changing table, potty and step. The staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us, especially as my partner had a dairy allergy, they contacted the bakery for allergens and made him fried eggs as the eggs usually on offer contained dairy. Our only niggle (which the guest house can't do anything about) is that there was no lift, and we had to park our car across the road from the hotel. We had to make several trips to and from the car for all our luggage & as you can imagine we don't travel light with two little ones, it meant several trips up and down a flight of stairs, luckily it was just one flight of stairs though. There was even an area for kids to play at breakfast time and a high chair for our young baby (supported). I also wasn't aware of a tourist tax for the Black Forest & don't recall it being mentioned when we booked the hotel. We were given a guest card on arrival.

Staff was nice, the restaurant has a play area for kids and good German food, although a bit pricy. Room was clean and had a shared kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. Didn’t have a problem finding parking nearby. While there’s not a lot to do in town, Triberg is only a 20min drive which has a train station, and other cities/towns with more to do are nearby. This is a good spot to stay

I had a fantastic dining experience at Gasthof Ochsen in Vöhrenbach. The food was absolutely delicious, and they offer an impressive selection of excellent beers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great cuisine and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

nice hotel

our room was located above hotel's restaurant, so there was noise and cigarettes' smoke till midnight. although the weather was very hot, there was neither air condition nor ventilator. breakfast was great.

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful suite newly refurbished. Kitchenette for all to use with mineral water in the fridge. Must keep glass bottled water at the location & recycling bottles after usage. All meals were delicious. Host is extremely friendly and helps you understand the meals. Property owners do speak English but be patient as there are a little bit of a language barriers. Extremely thankful for the hospitality.

This was my first trip to Germany. Disappointed by this stay. We arrived an hour early and she was really bothered by that. Made us wait and stand outside for 20 minutes. Was not kind and said she would be down when she could. Asked her if she could speak English her reply was a stern NO. So I just spoke in English and wow amazing not only could she understand me she could speak it as well. NOT friendly at all. Bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows and towels were not. Breakfast was just ok. We decided to leave early. She gives you a coupon for discounts in the area when you check in. Well I had just said to my hubs I could not find one of the coupon books as we were leaving. She chased us down and demanded those back. Because I could not find it she demanded $5.00. Well ok I guess she is responsible for those but just so rude, nasty and unfriendly through the entire experience. Would never stay again!

A Gem in a beautiful Bavarian town.

This hotel is newly renovated with very comfortable and pleasing accommodations. The restaurant inside has wonderful food. The owner’s and their family were extremely accommodating, warm, and friendly.
