My recent stay at Days Inn was OK, though the room was a bit dated. However, the numerous steps to access the room, some without handrails, created an unsafe environment, contributing to an accident within our group.

Not what I expected

The front desk staff were great. The stairwell and inside hallway are in need of repair and update. The bathroom / tub area had molding missing from the floor. There was a 1" gap between the bottom of the door and floor which let light in from the hallway. There were what appeared to be cigarette burns on the carpet and bathtub. The staff was great, the location was fine, but the rooms need some attention.

I felt like it needed to be updated & felt run down. We asked for more towels & did not receive them. Some of the tables in the breakfast area weren't very stable. Tripping hazard by the pool. You can't access the main office except by going around to the front of the building. When we arrived, there was someone on the outside of the office who made us feel unsafe. We did not encounter that person again during our visit.

Good times in Waco

Quick checking in, settled in our room quickly. Very quiet, and in the morning a beautiful breakfast. The smoke alarm was doing that beep on the battery needs to be changed, when we first got into the room. Call down to the desk and battery was changed in less than 5 minutes.

BED BUGS

They have bed bugs, I woke up covered in bites down my leg, on my back and on my stomach, I told the man at the front desk and he was immediately aggressive, saying they don't have bugs, when when I showed him the bites all down my leg he was still very adamantly aggressive that it did not happen at that hotel. I did not leave the room once I checked in, I am an over the road driver so I went to sleep. I checked in without any bug bits and woke up covered
