We had an amazing time in Padstow and this is a great hotel. The walk into Padstow is more of a light hike, so take appropriate footwear/clothing but it's worth doing - especially if you live in the city and fancy some fresh air and wide open space! The breakfast is incredible (fresh, warm muffins every breakfast, amazing), staff are lovely and it was great value for money. Our only tiny gripe is that we booked a twin and were given a double; the bed was massive so it wasn't an issue for us, but it might be for other people.
We had a weekend away in Cornwall to relax and visit relations. This is a lovely B&B in a beautiful area. The breakfast was excellent; well cooked, plentiful and well served.
disappointed that we had to walk down a hallway to our bathroom. yes it was private but other guests were next door to it so you had to robe up to go. 40 stairs to the bedroom was also unexpected. i did not like the attitude of the man who showed us to our room & felt like he trivialised our complaints. it was a lovely old building but wouldn't go back. the address given was very vague & for overseas guests a nightmare to find
Lovely quiet stay in luxurious period surroundings
The staff were very attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome. One young girl serving at breakfast was brilliant, super efficient & nothing was too much trouble.
Room was super, as was the comfort of the bed. Am looking forward to our next visit!
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at Molesworth Manor. It was a beautiful place to stay, in a great location. The staff were excellent and very accommodating, they were very friendly and really went the extra mile if you needed anything.
Stayed here for 5 nights. Late arrival due to car problems, we were offered a late breakfast if we wanted to sleep in, how thoughtful. Property a beautiful old former rectory with 11 rooms & 2 large guest sitting rooms. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt & toast tea and coffee plus a full hot breakfast and a daily special. The food was beautifully prepared and the service quick and friendly. This is a delightful place to stay and I recommend it without reservation. Hopefully we shall be back again.
Short break with young daughter. Lovely place to stay.staff very friendly and helpful. Spotless room and Rest areas.great location would recommend to anyone
Stayed here as a treat for my husband's big birthday; wanted something a little more special than the average b+b. Really pleased with my choice. We stayed in the round room. It was spacious, airy and most importantly clean. The shower was great and the bed comfy. Take a hairdryer as I did not notice one in our room. We had use of 2 living room areas and they were well decorated and kept a sense of character in this lovely old building. We received a warm welcome and were given tea in the garden which was lovely. Lovely breakfast with good service. Would definitely go back.
I spent a wonderful two days here. As a solo traveller, Molesworth Manor provided wonderful facilities to enjoy - lounge, library, garden. While my room was gorgeous, it was nice to have these other beautiful spaces to enjoy too.
We stayed in the cooks room as a family of 3 which was a complimentary upgrade. The room was beautiful; it was large, comfortable, clean and had all you needed. The rest of the house was stunning. Luxurious but homely and we were made to feel very at home with the encouragement to use the lounge areas. Debbie and Sue were welcoming, friendly, attentive and perfect hosts. The location was ideal being just outside the Hussle and bussle of Padstow. All in all we couldn't have asked for better and plan to return in the future
We stayed here for 3 nights in mid-May. The building is old and full of character but beautifully maintained. There is ample parking and it was full every night so obviously very popular. Our room was on the top floor (no lift) but flooded with light and with a great view; it was relatively small and our shower room/toilet was 2 doors down the small corridor though we had sole use of it and our tariff was also much cheaper than for the other rooms. Beds were very comfortable.
Fantastic stay in a lovely location with lovely people. Home made muffins for part of the breakfast offering, the best Ive ever eaten. Significant attention to detail in all aspects of the location and stay have been made, from the natural flowers on the dining tables to the lovely comfy pillow.
In early February we booked two nights in May, in a superior room. On arrival we were taken to the 'Seigneur Room' where I was surprised to find a small double bed and only space for one chair. The room was pleasant and newly decorated and I presumed I should have been more careful with my booking request. It was not until I arrived home did I go back to my confirmation letter which stated that I had requested the following:
'Please could we have a spacious, light room, with a King size, Queen size or twin beds. Maybe the South Room? Many thanks.'
While I realise that 'requests cannot be guaranteed' I think the proprietor should have notified me if he was unable, or unwilling, to take any notice of our preferences.
Lovely old world charm with superb hospitality. Great welcome and remembered from last visit nearly four years ago. Love the names of bedrooms, his Lordaship, the Maids room etc.
Beautiful property 5 minute drive from Padstow. Molesworth Manor is a 17th Century former rectory. We received a warm welcome and tour of the facilities from Geoff on arrival, he even pointed out the "honesty bar" which is something we have never come across before. Very good breakfast served by a very sweet waitress.
Sorry we only had time for the one night.
