We stayed at the Farmers Home Hotel as part of a group of 10 for an early morning Liberty Balloon Ride. After arriving early and exploring the town, we received a text from Anthony that our room was ready. We initially parked in front of the hotel but were advised to move to the back, which was confusing due to unclear parking spaces allocated to the hotel.
Our room, 108, was well-decorated and furnished to a high standard, as expected for the price. The bed was large and comfortable, and the ensuite was well-stocked and finished nicely. However, the extractor fan didn’t work, and we couldn’t cool the room either. The hotel’s wifi was good.
The main issue was the lack of in-room coffee or tea facilities. At 3:30am when we got up for the balloon ride, we had to walk past other rooms on bare boards to get tea, and there was no coffee available at all. This could have easily disturbed other guests. There was no one to ask for help at that hour.
Overall, I recommend the hotel but suggest to them adding a kettle and cups in the room. The small fridge in the room only had a bottle of water in it, so adding some milk would be easy too.
