Beautiful resort! The tram is very slow and the property is very large. If you’re able to walk a long distance comfortably the walkway is filled with beautiful southeast Asian art that is worth the stroll. View from room was beautiful

Nice property layout, but limited services, especially dining options on the resort, and not close options off-property. We reserved an ocean-view room, and we didn’t get one. They could not find us another ocean view room. The room had roaches, and we had to ask them to treat them twice in 4 days there.

Liked: The room was clean and had a very nice view of the ocean. Didn't like: The room was a 8/10 of a mile (16 minute) walk to the parking area. The cost of parking in addition to the over $400.00 per night stay was $48.00 per night. There was only one restaurant open within a 20 minute walk...and you think the parking was high - a small salad in $27.00, want three shrimp on that, add $22.00 - so $49 for three shrimp and some lettuce. This is not the place to stay if you want to see more of Hawaii.

My wife and I enjoyed at our stay at Hilton Waikoloa Village Ocean Tower. The staff including the valet were very attentive and always timely, even when it was very busy. The housekeeping services were good. Our room was comfortable, slightly outdated, but overall no complaints. The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from our room and it was adequately clean and it passed our standards for cleanliness (which are pretty high as we pay attention to detail). We appreciated that they had extra firm pillows available upon request as not all hotels offer different kinds of pillows. The hotel is huge, it is like a small town/village in itself. We appreciated the tram that ran inside the hotel as the walk from Ocean Tower to the main lobby/valet is long. They have restaurants, swimming in ocean water on a hotel-made beach that connects to the ocean where we were able to swim. They also have several pools and the water slides were fun. We went snorkling in the water and saw a sea turtle and several exotic fish. They offer several water toys (surf boards, paddle boats etc) that are included in your stay if you want to use them. They also offer swimming with dolphins, which we did not do that experience (additional cost) but you can watch the dolphins swim and enjoy seeing them even if you don't sign up for the swimming with dolphins experience. The air conditioning in the room was fabulous as my husband and I are picky about temperature control.

No notification of closed amenities

The main pool was closed for two days for a private event. We booked this hotel for two nights in order to use the pool. They did not notify us at checkin that some of the resort amenities would be closed two of the three days. We still had to pay the entire resort fee without getting to use half of he resort.

Thr property is huge and depending what tower you stay it can be a long walk or take time to get to the restaurants or most of the main attractions. I stayed in thr time share and it was so limited. Limited restaurants in the property, food was not that great, super pricey, hours of the restaurants sucked (opened late and closed early). Check out is early 10am. All other hotels ive stayed in are either 11am or 12pm. One thing is that the pools open early and close late. Shuttle service to nearby food/ stores you need to pay $5 each way not complimentary.

Beautiful place to vacation. The lagoons were filled with turtles and tropical fish which made snorkeling wonderful. Loved the 2 bedroom “penthouse” for our family. The flora and grounds were lovely. 🐠 🌴🌺This is a walking resort so be ready for 10k steps per day. No complaints here.

Beautiful but $$$$$

The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are decent and in the process of being renovated. Double beds are a little bit of a disappointment. That’s a tight fit for two. EVERYTHING is ridiculously expensive. You’ll spend more to park your car than you did renting it. $75 for pizza, $20 for a small mixed drink, $100 for coffee and muffins in the morning. That was a deal though because we skipped out on the $55/person breakfast buffet. Get off resort as much as possible to eat or bring a huge food budget.
