Beautiful historic place with great ambience.

Great new clean room. Restaurant and bar not open either day we stayed. Noone told us that before we booked. Coffee was like motor oil. Mini bar was not full of much choice and very expensive! Room is not sound proof. Higher price through their web page than expedia. The hotel just needs to up their standards on food and service to be worth the price.

when we got in, we found the room with leftovers in the fridge from the previous guests and dirty table and bed sheets. When I said it, they downgraded us to a much worse room in the middle of the night. We had to go all the way to the front desk to get the keys to the new room. They reduced the price of the room but the experience was a completely different one from theone I wanted. Not good.

Needs more rugs

We love the Airlie however there is one serious need. Every room is entirely hardwood flooring and no carpets, rugs, or throw rugs of any kind. If it rains then water gets everywhere and theres nowhere to put your shoes. Puddles everywhere. If there's snow like it did this week then there are puddles from your luggage, puddles from your shoes, and wet socks.

Property is nice surrounded by beautiful nature but we had a few issues. Keurig machine had a nasty film where water is supposed to go and on our check out day, housekeeping knocked the door at 8am with a do not disturb hanging out. Also, lots pf loud mechanical noises during the night.

The Airlie is setting is in the bucolic countryside and the grounds are very well kept. However, the lodge, where our room was located, was one step up from a Motel 6. Thin walls meant you could hear every whining kid, sneeze and door slam made throughout the building. The beds were lumpy and housekeeping was “on demand” but somehow that was not conveyed to us, so no fresh towels for three days. The restaurant in the main building was one step above a greasy spoon and service about as Ho-hum as the meal. I even had to track down antacids to keep the gremlins at bay. I don’t think I’ll go back unless they either up their game or drop their prices substantially.

Magical Property

A great location! The grounds were stunning and the accommodation buildings charming. My only disappointment was the showers and the poor shape it was in. The room was very small, but equally as charming as the building itself. that said… I will definitely be back.
