Great for families

Great for families with young children. The family rooms are really convenient - my 8&2 year olds share the sofa bed and my husband and I have the double. Comfy mattress. Decent shower. Breakfast is great value! My children love it! The lady who takes you to your table is lovely and gives the kids lots of attention. Only issue we had was the air con was either hot or cold with no in-between which was a bit of a pain. However we’ve stayed many times and will certainly stay again!

Staff are what really make this hotel. Lovely and friendly. Very accommodating especially with our kids. Breakfast was much better than we had anticipated and very enjoyable. Hotel was clean and just what we needed. Really enjoyed our stay

I wouldn't stay here again. I'm an IHG member and use the Dover HI Express on a regular basis and it's superb in comparison. The room here is basic, the carpets looked tired, the heating didn't work. We had an issue with noise from the joining room, but rang reception and it was dealt with thankfully. The bed is a small double so if you are a tall couple or on the larger side beware albeit the linen is fresh and clean. They charge for parking even with a blue badge. The young lady in reception was personable and polite, but I must say I'm disappointed overall with this IHG Holiday Inn. We didn't try the food based on previous reviews.

Checking in was easy, the staff was nice, hotel was quiet, parking was easy, the breakfast was good, but upon checking out I was told they didn’t charge me enough for the room and insisted on charging me more money. Many people pick hotels based on price and this was deceptive on their part.

We stayed twice, there and back again on a long journey. Positives: Clean and comfortable; friendly and helpful staff; good breakfast. Negatives: couldn't get warm - even when I turned up thermostat there was no change. Unit was beside the ceiling so trying to warm up from top down, then the noise of the fan kept me awake. Technology at reception was glitchy. Good food but several items on menu not available, both times.

Good hotel. Lack of eating places was an issue

The facilities in the room were good. Dove products in the bathroom were appreciated. Usb points were appreciated. Breakfast was good. Parking was fine. £15 for 2 fill days after discount code used. Only issue was lack of eating places nearby. We stayed 2 nights, Sunday and Monday. On the Sunday we were turned away from local restaurants between 4-5pm as we did not have a booking. No gaps later either. Apparently Sundays are always busy and being "payday weekend" everything was booked up. We ended up eating at McDonalds next to the hotel. Now we remember why we don’t go there. Overpriced, dried up food. The hotel was good. Monday night good was no issue.
