Would definitely book again.
CitizenM was a hidden surprise. I had never heard of them but booked because they had a high rating and reasonable cost. The bed was the most comfortable ever. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the lobby with snacks and drinks. All staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were in a great location in DC within walking distance of several museums and monuments.

I didn’t know what to expect until I arrived at the hotel. I was amazed with how trendy it looked and how everything was very customized to me. Walkability to the National Mall was absolutely amazing! I will definitely stay at CitizenM again!

Excellent downtown hotel
Really excellent hotel. Warm staff, clean comfy rooms with nothing you don’t need and no grungy carpet, convenient to walk everywhere. It is becoming more expensive but still worth it.

Incredible place to stay! Centrally located to everything. Decor was so unique, “homey”, and fun! The staff was so friendly and accommodating in all encounters. It was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend a visit!

Staying at this hotel was such a wonderful experience that I extended my stay for 3 extra days! The hotel is centrally located to everything in D.C. There is a Nero station less than a 5 minute walk that will get you anywhere. The rooms were compact but still had every amenity you could want. The huge king size beds were a dream! The decor was adorable and “homey.” I was even greeted by ballon’s, a personal card, and snacks when I entered my room. Every single staff I dealt with from front desk, to restaurant was so kind and helpful. Every space was impeccably clean as well. Just can’t say enough about this hotel chain. Will be looking for one on my next travel.

They didn’t have any luggage carts that was pretty inconvenient and they didn’t help with luggage Otherwise pretty great also the downstairs front staff were slightly impatient/rude

a modern approach to hotel stays. not good or bad but different so as i compare the stays with other hotels i feel like its more of a younger person thing. i do like self help but i also like the personal engagement in a traditional hotel. it did feel hip and cool. rooms felt like Japan ie tiny and almost too smart.

Smithsonian Closeness is Main Attraction
This hotel has lots of features squeezed into minimal space: small refrigerated pull out drawer; a safe and a clothes drawer, both located under the king size bed); several hangers; blackout and day curtains. The bathroom, which holds the shower stall and toilet, has liquid bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. The sink and mirror are outside in the room. There is an iPad to control the TV and other things such as lights and curtains. An additional charge of $20 daily for breakfast in modern, trendy decorated lobby and other meals are available, and there is free wifi throughout the building. A Metro station is nearby, and a Catholic church. Numerous federal offices surround the area, but at night and on weekends there is not much going on. Smithsonian museums are within walking distance but for other types of outside activities you have to go elsewhere. You can have the hotel front desk staff (very friendly) hold your bags after checkout without problem.

Dirty and very stained mattress cover and duvet. Got switched to another room and the mattress cover was still stained. Cleaning team said “they change that during their deep cleaning time” but we had just checked in. So it wasn’t done before us either.
