If you arrived late than 12am, you will need to PAY ADDITIONAL $50, which really annoied me at that time but I had no chouce but paid it at the late night.
THe hotel said they mentioned this fee in their website, but who will check the website after booking on Expedia. They didn't send me message mentioning that either.
The areas were cramped and there were always a couple of mosquitoes inside but I feel that the value was more than the price considering how cheap my stay was.
There was a TV in the living room that had basic cable and Netflix. The wi-fi speed was quick. For breakfast, the pancakes were consistently good and there was always a ready supply of butter, syrup, lemonade, and coffee. It was a quick walk to the nearest bus stop and metro rail station.
The employees were most helpful and accommodating such as dealing with a tenant who was a very loud snorer, keeping the open areas clean, giving detailed answers to questions about tourist areas, and making sure the tenants had the things they needed.
There was a shooting in the early morning one day but it was explained that the shootings are gang-related and directed to a rival gang and never at civilians. I was never accosted in the local area when I was out and about.
I was asked to show my passport in a chilly vestibule (not inside) although I had already paid for my stay. I was then asked to remove my shoes (fine, but no slippers were on offer), presumably to protect a carpet dating from at least 1973...I could go on but if you can afford to go elsewhere, then do.
