We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hamilton. Checkin was easy and quick (midnight arrival helped). Room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable, shower good. Only criticism is that the air cond unit was a bit noisy. We had a lovely view over the square. Washington is very walkable and we were able to access the Mall and museums as well as restaurants, cafes, dining and public transport if you prefer. We were very happy with our decision to stay at the Hamilton.

The service was amazing and the lobby was clean and well guarded and kept. However the bathroom in the room was very unkempt and everything was peeling up from the walls and edge of the tub. Can tell that the building is just very old with no current remodeling. Overall the stay was very good and you are close to everything.

the "in room dining" is a joke - they don't even offer coffee. not to mention the restaurant had a broken pizza oven they didn't seem interested in fixing the entire week nor communicate it's issue with the staff who just say "they're not making pizza today" with no explanation. also really cheap and crappy choices for toilet paper, towels, and bathrobes -- the toilet paper is so cheap it shreds when you pull it off the roll, the towels are soooo thin, and the bathrobes, not only thin but way too small in size. also the lobby and rooms have these bizarre smells that are akin to a disinfectant but sharper and not pleasant

I stayed at the Hamilton Hotel in the Presidential Suite, expecting a premium experience but unfortunately, it fell short. I was charged a $101 incidental fee and told it would be reimbursed upon checkout. That refund never came. I reached out twice after my stay and received no response just silence. To make matters worse, the suite didn’t even have a basic amenity like an ice bucket. I had to go downstairs to request one, only to be given the runaround by the front desk. It’s frustrating to be ignored after spending top dollar, especially when the issue is so simple to resolve. I expected better service and accountability from a hotel of this caliber.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The rooms were small, not properly cleaned, and lacked the city view that was advertised when I booked through Expedia. This made me feel misled, as the description and photos gave a completely different impression of what I would be getting. In addition, there were no facilities such as a spa, gym, or any other amenities available during my stay, which greatly reduced the overall comfort and value of the hotel. It felt as though the property did not match the standards or expectations presented online. I rely on Expedia to provide accurate information when booking, but in this case, the listing did not reflect the actual conditions of the hotel. I hope Expedia ensures that the information on their platform is verified so that other travelers do not have the same disappointing experience.
