Excellent In-town Stay

I came across Hotel Hive by pure chance. In fact it was not my first choice as we initially booked at the citizenM. However after reviewing the space, we determined that for our length of stay we wanted a little more breathing room and quality of amenities that Hotel Hive seemed to provide. We eventually decided to cancel our booking at citizenM, and took the plunge with only pictures and glowing reviews to guide us. Hotel Hive provides an ideal experience for travelers that are looking for a space that is well located, affordable, and with excellent on property amenities such as a pizzeria and bar that makes your time there just as enjoyable as time spent out on the town. We adored our room (King Loft) for providing everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. The staff was impeccable. Max and Jayla in particular were fantastic for providing recommendations and general service. Be advised that the rooms are on the small side, and somewhat spartan in terms of storage. Closets, dressers, mini fridges, etc. are absent. However, for travelers accustomed to living out of their suitcase it is such a perfect space to serve as a launching pad for a DC experience. It's conveniently located to transit - only a short walk from the Foggy Bottom metro station. It's also easily walkable, bikeable, or otherwise accessible to all major monuments and museums on and around the National Mall. We are so glad we took a chance on Hotel Hive, and would gladly stay again on future sojourns.

Great hotel: perfect location for Georgetown.

Everything was great. I needed an iron and it was brought to the room within 3 mins of calling the reception. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Great experience.

Overall, the facility, staff and location were nice. However, I didn't expect to stay on the basement floor when I first heard that my room was located on the first floor. Because of this, I wasn't able to open the window thus mouldy smell. The room was tinier than I expected from the pictures and the basin wasn't in the bathroom, which I don't particularly prefer. Paid nearly $300 for a night but was kind of disappointed.

Had a great time at Hotel Hive. If you’re looking for a minimalistic hotel to call home with a rooftop, bar, and calm atmosphere. I’d recommend you come here. Their attention to the “hive” details are throughout the area and the restaurant “&pizza” was great for lunch/dinner. Anthony and Dee Dee were great hosts whom answered my questions and went above the expectation when asked a task. Lastly, would love to highlight that this location is within 20 min walk of the Washington Monument, 7 min from the metro, and has plenty of nearby stores/shops. So very walkable not just the hotel but to nearby locations.

Amazing place

It was my second time at the Hive. The room I had was perfect. I love the ambiance and the location of the hotel. The room are somewhat spartiate, so you need to know what to expect, but they are super clean and the bed is very comfortable. The staff was great and very helpful.
