I was woken up every morning from the sound of drilling, some construction or repairs job either on top of my room or somewhere nearby about 530am onwards until 7 am it is not pleasant! That was the not so good experience

Our stay at the J.W. Marriott was outstanding. The hotel was within easy walking to everything we wanted to see and do. There are wonderful restaurants and bars right around the corner. Would definitely recommend.

Its is a fantastic location. Hotel breakfast was great and staff friendly. Room needed another dusting and room walls are thin so you can hear voices, coughing etc from next door.

2nd time at this hotel....excellent location, comfy beds, etc. I requested extra comforters by email before my stay. Request received. At check-in, I asked again about the blankets and pillows if they were in the room. Front Desk- Yes. Get to room...no blankets, no pillows. I contact the main # to ask about them. They would send in the request. Wait 15 minutes...call again...they would check on request and call me back... No pillows, no blankets, and no phone call.

Room was clean, housekeeping staff was excellent. Front desk staff was often a bit rude which considering the cost to stay was not expected. Used the services provided such as valet parking but given the interactions would have preferred to do it myself. The bed was incredibly comfortable which redeemed things a bit. Only thing that was failed to mention would bet the construction or repairs that would happen at 8am each day in the floors above us.

The building is beautiful. It’s well maintained and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The phones and tv didn’t work and the first day the maintenance didn’t show up. The second day they worked on the tv but 20 minutes later it stopped working. But we weren’t there to talk on the phone or watch tv. Their room service food was awesome. Bagel cream cheese and lox was delicious. Its location is the prime advantage. It’s walking distance to just about everything and only a 15 minute ride to DCA. It’s a typical cost for parking valet in any big city, expensive. O
