Overpriced w rude employee upon 1st impression

Employee(woman on 2/14) at the front desk upon check in extremely uninviting and rude. I receive TEN emails and texts about the ease of checking in at the kiosk. When we arrived, the line was through the door and there was one employee checking people in. All 5 kiosks were not working. I get it, things happen, but instead of saying "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" she said "can't you see they're frozen?" Made staying there such a turn off. There is a $30/ day "resort fee" which may be justified inn the summer w the pool, etc, but there are no amenities in the winter worth a "resort fee." The restaurant attached had tasty food, but way overpriced. Inn the morning, I lieder a regular coffee and a coffee w/baileys and the bill was $26.95!! And guests get a $10 voucher but it was never deducted from my bill. The bed was comfortable, new age-y w being able to adjust but I wouldn't recommend this hotel when there are 5 other hotels in a 1 minute vicinity

I will be totally honest with this comment because ,i think it is important that people know what to expect when booking. The hotel is a really nice hotel. Clean excellent restaurant on site. However it is a young crowd at this establishment, not sure why the younger adults book here. I am thinking because of the look or is it because of its name Yotel , the Yo in the hotel makes it cool , I dont know or because it has a trendy hip look to it. With that being said , the hotel is nice , clean and a excellent restaurant on site with top notch service.

The check in and out process is the worst process we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. They had only one person working the front desk & the side online self check in kiosks did not work. We got there right at check in time at 3 pm and we didn’t have a room ready until after 6pm. Would highly recommend not staying here if you have some place to be at a specific time as you will likely be late and not be able to check in on time. The parking payment system is also very poor. There is no accommodations for any inconveniences or delays there at YOTEL Washington DC.

Extremely convenient location to Washington Union Station and the U.S. Capitol Building, and so many more. Excellent temperature control in the room and a nice shower. Complimentary coffee and water station on each floor is a very nice touch. But, coffee stations close at 1000, recommend they are open longer.

Hotel was good- lights didn’t work so had to get moved. Staff failed to upgrade my room with VIP standing. Make sure you do not use the kiosk if you are ViP because you will not get the upgrade
