This was my first trip to Old Town Alexandria and I selected The Archer after doing some research to find nice boutique hotels in the area. This one stood out and I do not regret booking at all! The staff is super friendly and accommodating - not at all intimidating for a first-time traveler to the area. The valets greeted me first and gave me the quick run down before I headed through the courtyard into the main lobby. A feature that I found really cool is the sensor about 8-10ft from the lobby door that picks you up in perfect timing to have the door open seamlessly for you as you walk in - it's a small detail but impressive for this traveler nonetheless. The worst toilet paper and tissues ever. What a stupid place to cut corners. A Maryland rest stop en route had better toilet paper! Ordered a pizza from room service and it was never delivered. This used to be a Kimpton Hotel but they sold to Archer in 2024. Quality has slipped.

I loved the hotel. It is small, cozy and has many little fine details that make a huge difference such as complimentary shoe polishing, a little treat from a local candy shop and the slippers. I recommend it and will definitely stay there in a future visit to Alexandria.
