Safety concern but overall not bad
So my cleanliness issue was more of a safety concern than an actual cleanliness issue. I stepped on a shard of glass beside the bed near the bedside table and it cut my foot. The receptionist at the front was very nonchalant about it so I’m assuming this is a common issue in their rooms(?). Beyond that, we liked the hotel. I loved the gentlemen at the front who provided valet service. They were so friendly and personable.

We enjoyed our stay here. We loved it being full service hotel. There was a bellman to park your vehicle. The was enough bellman to take your bags to your room. There was a restaurant with excellent food. There was full service bar. Room was a small but pretty.

Great place located on a quiet street. Superb staff and excellent service. Only caveat the lighting in our room was not sufficient . The area near th door and closet didn’t have a light. The closet light was hard to activate and only stayed on for a very short amount of time. Otherwise a great stay.

Check in was a horrible. Room wasnt ready till after 5:30pm with a 3pm check in. Then when we got in the room there was trash still in room pushed into a corner. That baffled mw becauae they said the reason it was taking so long to check in was because of the final walk thru to make sure room was perfect.

This was an absolutely amazing find for our 3 day first time visit to Washington for us and another couple. All staff we dealt with were amazing. The location while a little ways away from some of the attractions, has numerous transportations nearby, and we twice walked back from the Capital Buildings, and we are all aged 70 or higher. Finally, the food and drink in the hotel were priced OK, and were good, and were given our free VIP drink perks on check in. We had a late flight on departure day, and were granted a late check out upon request with a smile. We cannot recommend this hotel more highly, and we travel a lot. Thank you Lyle Hotel!
