The stay was convenient to Capital One Arena, in which me and my bestie went to the Maxwell concert. Very clean hotel and the beds were fantastic.. so comfortable and cozy. We stayed in the bunkbed room a bit small, but don't let that stop you. We slept great in comfortable.

Location is good as far as being near the Metro, Cap One arena, conv center , restaurants. Rooms are TINY which I didn’t realize they’d be that small. We’ve had cruise ship rooms larger. Good enough for one person for like 2 nights but that’s it. No fridge or coffee maker in room; no courtesy lobby coffee either. So $6.25 for a coffee in the restaurant on first floor. Back to the room: we had a queen bed and there’s maybe 18” around it to every wall, including the bathroom barn door, so it’s super intimate for yoru partner doing their potty business. There’s one very small drawer for clothes so if you like living out of your suitcase (which can be stored under the bed), this place is for you. We were a couple for 5 nights- got small quick. One rod for hanging clothes, again meant for 1 person for 2 days. At least you could order an ironing board and iron. Oh ya besides no coffee there’s not even free cold water unless you are Hilton Gold. For >300 per night we expected better. Didn’t get to see rooftop bar due to weather while there; the one good night it was closed for a private event :(. Whiskey bar in basement is great; probably 400 to choose from. Bottom line is we will look elsewhere next time.

Everything Better With Coffee
Motto is conveniently located in walking distance to so much in DC. The no fuss rooms are perfect for an on the go trip. The space to work on a laptop is adequate I would appreciate better access to coffee.

This place is a ripoff. I had never stayed there before and will never again. First the rooms are ridiculously small maybe 14’ by 12’ with a 5’ by 6’ bath. I later learned it used to be called Pods and that’s all it was was a pod. Next no ice machines anywhere. I asked where I could get some and they directed to the bar where i was given two go cups with ice. Then the restaurant last night. We each ordered a cocktail and the smash burger. When the bill came it $was 75 including the mandatory 20 percent tip no matter the number in your party. So $75 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. This morning I went down to get some coffee. No complimentary coffee. Had to wait until 7 and was charged $5.50.

Pretty basic, but done well. The hotel is modern, super conveniently located and at this price well exceeded my expectations. The room has everything you need, don't think you can beat it at this price.

Location was perfect for a concert at arena a block away. Lots of food and beverage options (coffee too). Roof top bar such a perk. Room was small, no in room amenities (ie.fridge or ice machine)
