All good except for an unexpected charge for hotel services including WiFi and a complete coffee lounge. It would help to know in advance of a $33 a night charge in the app!

This stay was nice. Staff was pleasant. Rooms are clean. The day of my arrival, I received an email from Expedia telling me that there would be a $32 amenities fee. The fee is for every day of your stay. Why was this not part of the price of the hotel room.? The amenities include a beverage bar, two bottles of water in your room, Internet, mobile Wi-Fi printing, domestic calls, self-service laundry, and press reader. These are all amenities that should be included in the price of a hotel room not tacked on after a guest arrives at the door and has no option but to pay. These amenities are nothing over the top that would require an additional service fee. It was all self-service. These are all amenities that you would expect to have included in the price of the hotel room. If the hotel room was a little more expensive, but when you think you’re getting a good price and then they go and zap you with these additional charges on top of all the taxes that come along with staying in the city, you feel as if you have been taken advantage of. All the fees and everything added about $100 a day to the price of the room.

The hotel is very nice, clean, staff were very friendly. The restaurant was good, enjoyed my dinner, wait staff was also friendly. Great for an overnight stay, would definitely come back if in town for business again.

Lovely staff, nice old fashioned hotel. Not luxurious, but perfectly adequate, and fantastic location. The only complaint I have is that the blackout blinds don’t really work well because they aren’t flush to the sides of the windows. I found it hard to sleep well with so much light. They would be better off using the standard curtains most hotels do. Apart from that it was very pleasant.

This very convenient hotel with pleasant staff. It's very close to union station. I love the soap as it's from goat milk and easily rinsed off. 24 hour coffee and tea/ hot chocolate. There is a yummy restaurant attached that is reasonably priced.
