Great charming place in the heart of DC, very different from anything else in the area. Apart from some issues with hot water in some periods of the day, everything else is great. Staff is great!

I absolutely loved the Tabard Inn and hope to stay there again whenever I return to DC. It is charming, cozy, and vibrant. My room was comfortably decorated and felt like a grand old home, and I enjoyed relaxing downstairs by the fireplace and soaking up the atmosphere in the inn's restaurant. Try the fresh cinnamon donuts for breakfast. Highly recommend!

The Tabard Inn is so lovely and quaint. We love its restaurant, as well as its parlor with a fireplace, service, and location. It is just a few blocks from DuPont Circle that has a wealth of great restaurants and a metro station. It is an older property, and that is part of its charm. We had a wee issue with the lack of hot water one morning, but other than that we loved our stay. We take the train to DC when we visit, so I cannot comment on the parking situation.

The Tabard Inn is a delight. The building, interior, and rooms are charming. We did not get the room we expected, and after bringing it up w/ staff we were amazingly relocated to the room that we thought we booked without issue within minutes on a highly booked evening. We were very grateful. The Inn was on the pricier side for me, but we definitely got what we payed for, a great experience. We choose the in-hotel restaurant and were rewarded with that decision. The food and decor were very enjoyable and clearly a hit among locals not staying there but choosing it as their dining option. The wood-paneled lounge with blazing fireplace adjacent to dining was the cherry on top.

If you don't like the generic Radissons and Hyatt's then this is your place. Lovely, characterfilled and great staff. Highly recommend it.

Very nice overall stay. Loved the character and unique feeling of this inn. Great place to stay. Can be challenging with narrow stairs and claw foot tub/shower. I plan on staying here again.
