The Tabard Inn is my fave hotel in DC. The staff is phenomenal and so accommodating. I love the rooms, art, furnishing, and decor. The food is great and live music on Sundays and Mondays in front of the fire is everything you need on a cold winter night. I seriously love this place.

The Tabard Inn is a wonderful rarity in an era of cookie-cutter and faux-historic corporate hotels. My room contained a delightful collection of furniture, art and standing or table lamps. I think, though, that they could fine a way to provide some plugs and USB ports, as well as a small work area, without undermining the rooms' historic flavor. In addition, the tub/shower was awkward to get in and out and lacked safety bars, and the hot/cold mixer didn't work properly. Still, a wonderful place to stay in DC.

Overall a great stay for the night. The hotel is beautiful and very historic. My room was on the third floor and they didn’t have an elevator so keep that in mind. I would stay again.

Delightful, historic hotel brimming with charm. Staff was attentive, helpful, and very polite. The restaurant is quite good as well, and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that my room's water heater was not working properly, and produced only lukewarm water in the shower.

I'll be back.
I loved my stay. Creaky floors, hodgepodge of mixmatched well worn antiques and art, updated only where needed for functionality... For me it was the perfect cozy time capsule. Don't come here if you are looking for vending machines, elevators and a TV in your room. Lovely restaurant and drinks too.
